Afgelopen week ’s morgens een berichtje van Rabin met de vraag hoe het met ons ging, dus dat vertelde ik in heel goed Engels met translate. Hoe het met ons gaat weten jullie inmiddels wel en ik kreeg dit antwoord:

I went to trek there in Langtang valley 2 years ago and most of the cities along the highway are gone now. Some of my known people working in hydropower projects. Dad and mom are in good health. They are also starting to turn old. Rita has just finished her Bachelor in Electronics Engineering. Would take around 5 months to appear in Lisence examinations. I had my job transferred to Pokhara and am enjoying some time in pokhara before they transfer me to another place. Sending love to you, Joop and everyone there.

Joop’s eyes allow him to see ipads? Ik had verteld dat Joop slecht zag, maar Candy Crush lukt en hij gebruikt heel vaak de loupe voor berichtjes e.d. en soms kan hij het ook gewoon zien, het ligt er maar net aan.

Another news for you. We have started construction of house here in pokhara. For the whole family as it is difficult to go back to the village now. Most of the villagers have left the village. I will be moving where my job takes me. So that is necessity.

It will be for our family dad mom me, Rita for now. Grandmother too. So only contribution from family members. I am comparing house loans at different banks now. Planning to take a long term one.

It was done in traditional houses. Nowadays it is bricks in between. But i have opted for AAC blocks in between the pillars.

Daarna stopte ons gesprek. Fijn dat we weer wat op de hoogte zijn en dat hij de mogelijkheid heeft een huis te bouwen voor zijn familie. Misschien hebben jullie iets te vragen, stel ze maar.
